Since 1990, Handyman Services Frederick has been helping Maryland homeowners maintain, repair, and improve their homes with reliable, professional craftsmanship. Founded by Doug Rosner, the business was built on a simple belief: honest work, done right, builds lasting relationships.

That belief didn’t come from a marketing playbook — it was learned over a lifetime in the construction industry.

Doug was born into a contracting family and began working in the office at just 10 years old as a clerk, learning how projects were estimated, scheduled, and managed. By the age of 14, he was already working on job sites during summers, weekends, and school holidays, gaining hands-on experience and learning the importance of craftsmanship, preparation, and professionalism.

From Early Experience to a Trusted Local Business

After years of hands-on work, Doug went on to work for a large construction company while also completing small renovation projects on the side. These projects were never treated casually. Each one received the same level of care, attention to detail, and respect for the homeowner as a full-scale job.

The quality of that work quickly spoke for itself.

Clients began referring Doug — unsolicited — to their family members, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Over time, referrals grew steadily, built entirely on trust and results. After careful consideration, Doug made the decision to formally establish a licensed and insured renovation company, creating what is now Handyman Services Frederick.
